This course is designed for a person who has an understanding of project management concepts, who is responsible for creating and modifying project plans, and who needs a tool to manage these project plans.

During this One Day course you will become familiar with the basic features and functions of Microsoft Project Professional so you can use it effectively and efficiently in a real-world environment.

We’ll cover the critical knowledge and skills a Project Manager needs to create a project plan with Project during the planning phase of a project. In other words, if you are asked to lead a project, this course will enable you to draft a project plan with Project and share it with others for review and approval.

Course Objectives:
In this course, you will learn to create and engage in basic management of a project using Microsoft Project Professional. You will:

  • Identify project management concepts and navigate the Project environment.
  • Create and define a new project plan.
  • Create and organise tasks.
  • Manage resources in a project plan.
  • Finalise a project plan.

Pre-requisites:
To ensure your success in this course, you should have basic project management knowledge and skills. You should also have basic knowledge and skills for using any current Windows operating system. Finally, you should have competency in using other Microsoft Office applications.

We recommend booking Project Level 1 & 2 as both are required knowledge to manage projects using Microsoft Project.
